Jordan’s Story:

One day, I was face to face with a life-changing decision to make. I was beginning to find interest in a woman online. She asked to get on Skype one day. I was so curious to finally see her face and hear her voice. So I joined the call on my work laptop…

She asked me to turn my camera on. But oddly she refused to show herself. Something wasn’t right. Through instinct, I left the call and backed away from my laptop

Two minutes later I got a message

It had my picture, my current address, and other personal information that I never gave to this woman. She was blackmailing me, threatening to send out my information if I didn’t pay her immediately. My heart dropped into my stomach, and I froze. I realized I let emotions bring my guard down. Not only did this person have my information, they were accessing me through my work computer. I feared that I just opened my company up for attack as well. To this day, I don’t know where my information was sent. But I knew I needed to help prevent others from going through what I went through.

That's why I created CyberVault, a cybersecurity solution that focuses on changing risky behaviors online through video storytelling. It’s time we get smarter and fight back.
